Our staff
The Old Golfhouse Veterinary Group employs a team of 35 staff: 10 veterinary surgeons, 10 veterinary nurses [we are a Royal College approved veterinary nurse training centre], 1 animal behaviourist and 14 other support staff.
Most of the vets have a preferred area of work such as orthopaedics, opthalmology, exotics, radiology, small animal medicine and surgery, rabbit dentistry or ultrasonography.
The nurses also play an active role in the day to day running of the practice. Apart from their normal duties of inpatient care, assisting the vets during procedures and anaesthetic monitoring, the nurses hold regular weight clinics for overweight pets, puppy parties and minor consultations, which include nail and teeth clipping, suture removal and general advice on animal care. The Thetford and Watton branches are Approved Training Centres for student veterinary nurses, which allows the practice to train its nurses in the high standard of veterinary care that our clients have come to expect.
All members of staff work hard to establish personal contacts with our clients. Please ask for whichever surgeon or nurse you would prefer to see.
